ABOUT DIABETES UPDATE DAY

Every year the National Diabetes Services Scheme (NDSS), Diabetes NSW & ACT and Diabetes Queensland bring together current and future leaders in the field of diabetes. As Australia’s fast growing chronic condition, diabetes is the leading cause of heart attack, stroke, kidney disease, limb amputation, depression, anxiety, and blindness but it doesn’t have to be this way. With a focus on prevention, early detection, optimal treatment and effective ongoing support and management people living with diabetes can live a full and healthy life. Diabetes Update Day 2019 brings together the frontline health care professionals to learn, build networks and to discuss new ideas.
